Also called Chapotín y sus Estrellas. The ensemble was founded between 1950/1951, by the trumpeter Félix Chappottín, the pianist Luis Lilí Martínez Griñán, the singer Miguel Arcángel Cuní "Miguelito Cuní" and other members of Arsenio Rodríguez's group.
 
Rolando Salgado attests to the veracity of this style of playing since he was part of the Conjunto Chapotín.
